A presentation folder is a type of folder that holds loose papers or documents together for organisation and protection. Presentation folders usually consist of a sheet of heavy paper stock or other stiff material which is folded in half with pockets in order to keep paper documents. Presentation folders can be either printed as a tool for business presentations to customers to aid in the sales process.
Offset printing is recommended when the order quantity is 100pcs and above. To achieve the cost-effectiveness, customer is recommended to print more than 500pcs of folder. The folder design can be very flexible in terms of size, thickness, number of pockets, shapes and die-cut area. Obviously, the size of folder must be bigger than A3 so that the area of folder is big enough to cover A4 documents. The folder usually come with at least one pocket. Some customer prefers to have some die cut on the pocket to serve as their business/ name card slots. The sample below shows a single-sided offset printed folder with two side pockets and an additional die-cut slot for business/ name card.
The most common material used for offset printed presentation folder is Art Card 250gsm, 260gsm, 300gsm and 310gsm. Art Card is the most cost-effective material and it is stiff enough to form a folder. This material is suitable for folding, creasing line, perforation line and die cut. To have extra protection from liquid, matt / gloss lamination process is an option to be done after the printing process. Special finishing such as spot UV is available too to improve the design and looking of the custom folder.
To reduce the cost of design and printing, we have set a few templates as the standard design for offset printed presentation folder. Please refer to the templates below:
Customers can opt to have their own folder design but it may incur higher cost due to the wastage of paper material when the shape and die-cut could not fit perfectly on the large size paper.
